When I started my e-learning business, back in 2009, I had my thoughts and ideas about what e-learning could mean or do for companies and their employees. But I didn’t had any clu which software to use, or how to use it well!

I searched the web for all kind of authoring tools for e-learning and played around with tools like Moodle, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, aNewSpring and even ITunes U and many more. But finaly I ended up with Articulate Storyline. This software became a keeper and is still my most used authoring tool for e-learning.

Finding the right software for your e-learning projects is one, but the most tricky part is to work with it and use it correctly. Luckely, the company Articulate pointed me in the direction of the e-learning Heroes community.

This community helped me to find rich discussion threads, answered my questions about design, best practice, work critiques, freelancing and how-tos. A lot of members provided me with general encouragement, and much more which helped to grow my business.
