About this blog
For a few weeks back I read a blog from Tom Kuhlmann about building a course that satisfies many learners. His blog reminded me of the time that I was working as a teacher and the ‘difficulties’ that I had to face every day. In that period that I started to create my own lessons and got addicted to the world of e-learning. With this blog I want to share my 5 reasons with you why educators should be using Articulate Storyline in their classroom.
1. Students need attention
Today, educators are more and more confronted with larger groups of learners than a few years back. The downside of this is that the diversity within the group has changed, so not all students get the right amount of attention they need.
Start today with creating your own lessons with Articulate Storyline. Share your lessons with your learners, so they are able to study on their own and you can focus on those learners who really need your attention.
2. Students have different learning styles
Classroom lessons are often based on verbal thinking, but in your group of students there are more than one learning styles. This is one of the main reasons why a lot of learners stay behind.
With Articulate Storyline it’s easy to add movements, sounds and videos to your lessons. By using these features you create a combination of different learning styles into one single lesson, so that every student understands your lessons.
3. Students are seeking for variation
One of the most commonly heard statements from learners is that classroom lessons are often perceived as boring.
With Articulate Storyline you don’t have to be an entertainer to bring variation into your lessons. With plenty of built-in features it’s easy to add variation to your lessons to motivate your learners.
4. Students need engaging homework
We send our students home with a lot of homework. The problem with this is that doing their homework isn’t always engaging enough and they return to their classroom with all kind of arguments about why they didn’t do their homework.
With Articulate Storyline you have the power to create engaging and interactive quizzes that will motivate your students to do their homework.
5. Create elements of gamification
Classroom activities aren’t always compatitive, but with some nice elements of gamification in your classroom we can turn this very easily.
With Articulate Storyline you have the ability to add result-slides or your own award batches to your lessons. Simply export your course for LMS to track the results of your students, rank their results and share your findings with your students.
